2007 IMC Election Result
25 minesweeper players did vote in the 2007 IMC Election (detailed Result).
The old IMC will keep up it's duty till the constitutional meeting of the new board which is about to be scheduled (it'll take place on one of the first days after the christmas vacations).
The new elected members for 2008 are:
Damien Moore (CAN), Christoph Nikolaus (AUT), Gergely Nagy (HUN), Roman Gammel (RUS), Andrew McCauley (AUS), Bertie Seyffert (ZA), Thomas Kolar (AUT).
If an IMC member should decline or withdraw during 2008 the unelected candidate with the most votes will be asked to join the IMC. The next IMC elections will take place in December 2008.
2007 IMC Election
Elections for the
1st Russian Championship (local tournament)
First Russian Minesweeper Championship is over, it was organized in Moscow and Novosibirsk at the same time with merged live results in internet. Roman Gammel won the tournament with huge advantage, total sum 346,277 for int5+exp5. Arsen Balishyan finished on the second place with sum 420,932. Stanislav Derechennik was third with sum 425,644. 3rd Austrian Championship (local tournament)
The 3rd Austrian championship is over, Thomas Kolar won with a sum of 357.66 seconds, Christoph Nikolaus was second, and Andreas Marx was third.1st IMC Minesweeper World Championship

The competition started at 13:30 and consisted of one 3-hour session.
A player’s score consist of the following: sum of best 5 of both intermediate and expert boards finished during the 3-hour session. Players are ranked by their total score where the lower is the better.
If one failed to finish 5 intermediate and/or expert board during the 3-hour session, the missing games were treated as 999 seconds games.
